Terms of Service
Effective September 13, 2026
These Terms govern SushiLog Business, operated by Jinru Xue d/b/a SushiLog in California, USA (SushiLog, we, us). They cover the Studio and related menu services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
1. Eligibility and your Venue Account
By creating a Venue Account or using the Studio, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your Venue. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the restaurant or organization. If you disagree, do not create an account or use the Studio. Diners can view published menus without an account.
A Subscription covers one Venue and its Studio. Authorized staff may share the Venue Account. The Venue is responsible for their activity, keeping its email current, protecting credentials, and removing access when staff leave. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Subscriptions, trial, and automatic renewal
SushiLog Pro is offered monthly or annually. Checkout shows the price, currency, applicable taxes, billing frequency, and trial end date before you confirm. A 30-day Free Trial starts when an eligible Venue completes Checkout with a payment method, not when it registers. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method is charged for the selected billing period. The Subscription then renews automatically each period until cancelled.
Payments are sold through Stripe Managed Payments (Link), the merchant of record. Its payment terms also apply to the transaction. Manage or cancel your Subscription through billing management in Studio Settings or the Link service identified in your receipt. Cancellation takes effect on the date shown in billing management; access ordinarily continues through the trial or paid period. If you cannot access cancellation, contact sushilog@sushilog.app.
Cancellation stops future renewals and does not automatically refund or prorate the current period. Request a refund through sushilog@sushilog.app or Link support. Refunds required by law, available under applicable Link policies, or approved for a service problem remain available. These Terms do not restrict Stripe or Link from issuing a refund under their policies.
We will give at least 30 days’ notice by account email before changing your recurring price. A new price applies to a future renewal; you may cancel before it takes effect. Discounts apply only as stated at Checkout.
3. When subscription access ends
When ordinary subscription access ends, a seven-day Grace Period generally leaves the Studio read-only and published menus available. After that, only account and billing access remain, and published menus become unavailable. Unrecoverable subscriptions, security incidents, unlawful use, or abuse can result in earlier restrictions. Billing management and access notices show the dates relevant to your Venue.
Ending a Subscription does not delete your account or content. Contact us separately for account closure or deletion. Keep your own copies of important material; SushiLog is not a backup service.
4. Your content and public sharing
You retain your rights in content you provide. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, format, translate, and display it, and to let our service providers do so, only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the service. This does not permit selling your content or using it in advertising without your permission.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and publish content, including permission from people depicted in it. Do not upload confidential information, payment-card details, passwords, government identifiers, or unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Anyone with access to a published menu can view, share, and save it. Uploaded media is accessible to anyone with its direct URL, including media attached to drafts or later removed from a menu. Unpublishing removes the menu from the public menu experience but does not revoke direct media links or copies saved by others.
Removing content in the Studio does not immediately erase stored originals, resized copies, or text history. The service license continues only as needed for retained copies, legal obligations, security, and resolving disputes, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Contact us to request removal of stored media or personal information.
SushiLog and its licensors retain rights in the software and shared catalog material. You may use supplied catalog content within the service and its menu-sharing features; these Terms do not grant a separate right to resell or redistribute the catalog.
5. Menu accuracy and AI translation
Publishing can send menu text to third-party AI services to generate translations. Machine-generated text and reference catalog content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. The Venue must check content and translations before relying on them, especially ingredients, allergens, dietary statements, prices, and Drink Pairings. SushiLog does not verify food safety or provide medical or dietary advice. Diners should confirm allergies and dietary needs directly with the restaurant.
6. Responsible use
Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, or harmful activity. Do not upload malware, invade privacy, send spam, bypass authentication or usage limits, disrupt the service, or access another Venue’s data without authorization. We may apply reasonable technical and usage limits to protect availability and prevent abuse.
7. Availability and termination
The product may continue to be described as Early Access while these Terms are in effect. Features can change, and maintenance, failures, or third-party outages may interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular uptime, or permanent availability of any feature.
We may restrict or terminate access for a material breach, nonpayment, legal obligations, or a security risk. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow you to resolve it. If we discontinue a paid service for reasons other than your breach, we will give reasonable advance notice and arrange a prorated refund for the unused prepaid service period through the payment provider. You may stop using the service at any time; cancel billing separately to stop renewals.
8. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee error-free service or translations, or that the service will meet every business requirement.
To the extent permitted by law, SushiLog is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, or business interruption. Our total liability arising out of the service or these Terms is limited to the greater of US$100 and the subscription fees paid for your Venue during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections or your rights against the merchant of record.
9. Law, disputes, and changes
California law governs these Terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory protections under the law that applies to you. Disputes may be brought before courts with competent jurisdiction in California, without restricting court access guaranteed by applicable law. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights. Please contact sushilog@sushilog.app first so we can try to resolve a concern.
For material changes to these Terms, we will notify registered Venues by account email at least 30 days before the changes take effect, unless a legal or urgent security requirement needs a shorter period. Changes apply prospectively. Continued Studio use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, stop using the Studio and cancel renewals before that date. An unenforceable provision does not affect the remaining provisions.
English and Japanese versions are provided. If their meanings differ, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law. Questions and account-closure requests can be sent to sushilog@sushilog.app.
